Bio-Rad Bio-Plex 3D / Luminex FLEXMAP 3D suspension array analyzer acquired from Bristol Myers Squibb.
The Luminex nameplate identifies serial number FM3DD15093001, manufactured in the USA in April 2015. A Bio-Rad service sticker records preventive maintenance performed on March 5, 2024. This was decommissioned at BMS shortly after the last service.
Designed for high-throughput multiplex protein and nucleic-acid research, the FLEXMAP 3D supports up to 500 analytes per sample, 96- and 384-well microplates, and both magnetic and nonmagnetic xMAP microspheres. Typical published plate read times are approximately 20 minutes for 96 wells and 75 minutes for 384 wells; actual throughput varies with assay configuration.
Includes the pictured instrument, attached tubing/hoses, and Flood Alert accessory. The Flood Alert accessory has visible unterminated lead wires; its operation has not been verified. The computer, xPONENT software/license, external sheath and waste containers, calibration kits, assay consumables, and other unpictured accessories are not included. This system was acquired from Bristol Myers Squibb, a professional pharmaceutical research facility, and was believed functional when decommissioned. The instrument carries a Bio-Rad preventive-maintenance label dated March 5, 2024 and the instrument was taken out of service shortly after. We have not performed a full in-house bench test, calibration, or sample assay verification. The unit is backed by our 45-day return policy and 45-day warranty, and we stand behind the equipment we sell.
